Timothy Schoof, B.A., B.S., M.S., M.B.A., Ed.S., Ed.D.

Dr. Schoof has a wealth of education and holds six degrees — B.S. in Biology, B.A. in Business Administration, M.S. in Chemistry, M.B.A., Ed.S., and Ed.D. He serves as director of the College’s Undergraduate Studies Department, which encompasses the Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and the Associate of Arts in Biological Studies degree programs. Schoof’s other duties include working as an undergraduate academic advisor and teaching both the Organic and General Chemistry courses. His philosophy on education is to teach the subject, to motivate students to learn and to inspire them to continue to learn and become independent thinkers.






Charles F. Dorlac, B.S., M.S., Ph.D.

Dr. Dorlac received his B.S. degree in English from St. Louis University and M.S. degree in counseling from the University of Missouri, Kansas City (UMKC). He also earned a Ph.D. in counseling from UMKC. Dorlac is interested in the topics of effective teaching, active learning, positive psychology, communication and empathy. He joined the faculty at Cleveland Chiropractic College in 1987. As an assistant professor in the Diagnostic Sciences Department, he teaches the College’s upper-level Psychiatry course. While not in the classroom, Dorlac enjoys woodworking, gardening and reading, specifically works on evolution and spirituality.





John McGlaughlin, B.S., M.A.

McGlaughlin received his B.S. degree in math education from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo. He has a master’s degree in studio art from the University of Missouri, Kansas City (UMKC). He joined the College’s Undergraduate Studies faculty in 2003. McGlaughlin teaches Algebra, Physics I & II and Independent Study in Health Science. His professional interests are in the human biological applications of physics and researching the feasibility of alternative energy sources. Outside the College, he enjoys following the St. Louis Cardinals, playing softball and basketball and biking and running.






Kevin Robinson, B.S, M.B.A.

Robinson received his B.S. degree from West Texas A&M University. He also has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix. A part-time instructor, Robinson joined the College’s faculty in 2004. He teaches classes in the Undergraduate Studies Department. His full-time job is president and senior consultant of People Wise of Missouri Inc., a firm that provides comprehensive outsourced human resource management.






Tom Smallridge, B.S.Ed., M.A.

Smallridge received both his B.S. Ed. and M.A. degrees from the University of Central Missouri. He joined the faculty of the College’s Undergraduate Studies Department in 2003. His teaching duties are in the social sciences and include History of American Culture, History of the Biological Sciences, General Sociology and Cultural & Ethnic Studies.






Corey Sullivan, D.C.

Dr. Sullivan received his B.S. degree in Chemistry from Emporia (Kan.) State University. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2003 from Palmer College of Chiropractic. Sullivan joined the faculty at Cleveland in 2006. As an instructor in the Undergraduate Studies Department, he teaches Principles of Cell Biology, Principles of Anatomy & Physiology, Cell Biology, Human Physiology, General Chemistry I and General Chemistry II. His professional focus is on the influence of the environment on cell membrane receptors. Outside the College, Sullivan enjoys aviation, fantasy football, reading, exercise and anything that involves a beach.






Marcia Thomas, B.A., M.A.

Thomas received both her B.A. in English and M.A in Library Science from the University of Missouri. She has been with the College 30-plus years and has seen many changes and improvements. She started at the College in 1976 as the library director of a 25-square-foot space on the Troost Campus with no staff, no card catalog, seating for four people and a small collection of books donated by students. Today, she oversees the 7,000-square-foot Ruth R. Cleveland Memorial Library equipped with an automated card catalog, seating for 165 and an average 1,250 user visits per week. Thomas also holds the rank of professor and is the lead instructor for Advanced Topics in Human Biology, the capstone course for the Bachelor of Science degree. Her other duties include serving as Faculty Council president and campus coordinator for the College’s United Way activities. Away from Cleveland, Thomas’ interests include politics, bioethics, race and gender-based health disparities, rock ‘n’ roll, baseball and the MU Tigers.
