Cecilia L. Anderson, B.A., D.C.

Dr. Anderson received her B.A. degree and a Secondary Teaching Credential from California State University, Northridge. She earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College-Los Angeles (CCCLA) in 1979 and has taught at CCCLA since that time. Anderson’s area of interest is SacroOccipital Technique (SOT), and she is certified in Advanced SOT and Cranial.






Lucila T. Calimag, M. D.

Dr. Calimag received her pre-med degree from the University of the Philippines and her medical degree from Far Eastern University, Philippines. She was on a rotating internship at Silliman University Medical Center, Philippines, and did postgraduate work in clinical sciences at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, N. J. She was a professor at Pasadena Chiropractic College from 1976-1980 and joined the faculty of Cleveland Chiropractic College-Los Angeles in 1980. Calimag was a clinician from 1985-93 and Department chair of the Diagnostic Sciences from 1990-95. She was a committee member of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (associated sciences) from 1999-2001. Calimag has taught Physiology; Pathology; Dermatology; Physical Diagnosis; Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat; Obstetrics and Gynecology; Systemic Anatomy; Clinical Laboratory Diagnosis; Public Health; Pediatrics and Geriatrics.






David Gendreau, D.C., D.A.C.B.R.

Dr. Gendreau received his B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine in 1986. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1989 and his residency in Diagnostic Imaging from LACC in 1993. In 1992 he became a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology. He joined the faculty at the College in 1993 and has taught Normal Radiographic Anatomy, X-ray Physics and Positioning, Skeletal Radiology II and Soft Tissue Radiology. He is also a postgraduate lecturer for the College, the International Chiropractors Association of California and other organizations.






Glenn Johnson, B.S., D.C.

Dr. Johnson received his B.S. degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College-Los Angeles (CCCLA) in 1983 and in 1985 graduated from the College summa cum laude and valedictorian with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Since that time, he has built a family-based practice focusing on pediatrics and youth sports injuries. Through the College he has taught chiropractic at the Japan Chiropractic Doctors College in Tokyo, and has become a test committee member for the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners for Parts II, III and IV, in Greeley, Colo. He is a Fellow of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, serves as the official chiropractor for Cypress College’s Department of Theatre, Arts and Dance and is a certified instructor for the American Red Cross in their “Protect Your Back” program. Johnson also serves as the CCCLA Student California Chiropractic Association Faculty Advisor. During his time at the College, he has taught biomechanics, physiotherapy, chiropractic case management, physical diagnosis and pediatrics. In his spare time, Johnson stays busy as scoutmaster and chaplain of Boy Scout Troop 75 in Long Beach, is the Youth Protection Trainer in the Long Beach Area Council of Boy Scouts of America, and head coach of the varsity baseball team at Pacific Lutheran High School.






Milad Keshavarz, D.C.

Dr. Keshavarz received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College-Los Angeles (CCCLA) in 2003. He joined CCCLA in May 2005 and currently teaches Cardiovascular/Pulmonary/Endocrine Diagnosis, Cervico-thoracic, Lumbo-pelvic and advanced technique classes as well as Physiotherapy Labs. He is currently working on his certification in the COX Flexion/Distraction technique. Besides being a full-time faculty member, Keshavarz also serves on the Faculty Affairs Committee at CCCLA and maintains an active private practice. He also attends numerous professional events throughout the year, including Gonstead and COX Flexion/Distraction seminars and the Masters Circle.






Gyan Khare, B.S., M.S., Ph.D.

Dr. Khare received his early education in India, earning his B.S. degree from Allahabad University and a M.S. from Agra University. He earned his Ph.D., in Microbiology (Virology) with minors in Pathology and Biochemistry from Kansas State University. Khare accepted a faculty position at Baylor University’s College of Medicine, where he conducted post-doctoral research. While an Assistant Professor of Microbiology at Idaho State University, he was part of a cooperation research team that was instrumental in diagnosing a virus disease of potatoes, which was threatening the potato industry at that time. Khare is the discoverer/co-discoverer of a number of antiviral compounds and drugs, including Ribavirin, which is currently licensed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of Respiratory syncytial virus and Hepatitis C virus infections. He has U.S. patents for the diagnosis of the Hepatitis B virus and various hormones and metabolites in the blood. A respected scientist, recipient of various research grants and frequently requested lecturer, Khare’s professional travels have taken him all over the world. He is a member of several organizations including the prestigious Research Honor Society, Sigma Xi and the American Society for Microbiology. In addition to his responsibilities at CCCLA, he serves as Director at Heligen Laboratories Inc., in Huntington Beach, Calif. Khare is also a member of the Part I Test Committee, National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, April 2007. In his spare time, he enjoys tennis, badminton, bridge and snow skiing.






Howard Maize, A.A., B.A., D.C.

Dr. Maize received his A.A. in psychology from Los Angeles Valley College and also attended University of California, Los Angeles before receiving his B.A. from West Coast University in Los Angeles, studying pre-chiropractic courses. He graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College-Los Angeles (CCCLA) in 1994 with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He opened Maize Chiropractic Center in Los Angeles in 1995, and has worked for CCCLA in different capacities since his days as a teaching assistant.

Currently, he is an instructor at the College and serves as the treating doctor at the University of Southern California’s (USC) Student Health Care Center through a partnership between USC and the College. He is the first chiropractor to have privileges at USC Medical Center and the first to lead its medical interns through chiropractic rotations. Maize holds several certifications, has been published, and has been the on-location chiropractor for several well-known television shows. He is married and has three cats, a rat and a dog. Away from his endeavors in education, he enjoys photography and traveling.






Randy P. Talai, B.S., D.C.

Dr. Talai received her B.S. degree in Human Biology concurrent with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 1999. She has advanced certification in chiropractic care for pregnancy and pediatrics. Talai has maintained a private practice since graduation and has been extremely active in community organizations including YMCA and Chambers of Commerce, receiving several awards for her volunteer work. She joined the faculty of Cleveland Chiropractic College in 2005 in the Diagnostic and Chiropractic Science departments teaching Head, Eye, Ear, Nose & Throat (HEENT) Diagnosis, Clinical Neurology, Functional Assessment and various technique courses. She holds a patent for an invention from the United States patent office.






Victor Tong, B.S., M.B.A., D.C., D.A.C.B.R.

Dr. Tong received both his B.S. degree in Basic Sciences and his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1979 from Logan College of Chiropractic. He also holds an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California and has achieved diplomate status with the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology. He joined the faculty part time in 1986 and switched to full time in 1989. Tong has taught X-ray Interpretation, X-ray Case Presentation and clinic X-ray.

Professional interests for Tong include postgraduate radiology seminars, training in chiropractic education, chiropractic education overseas and general business administration. His hobbies include, movies, automobiles and spending time with family.
