Research Support. The Library provides research tools for conducting online literature searches and retrieving full-text articles. Library staff provide training in using PubMed and other databases, and instruct users on constructing search strategies and evaluating search results.
Inter-Library Loans and Document Delivery. Inter-library loan service is an easy way for users to gain access to books and journals not owned by the Library. This service is provided at no charge to the campus community. The Library participates in a variety of local, regional, and national library consortia, which greatly expands accessibility to items users need.
Current Awareness. The Library provides a TOC service to University faculty and administrators. Faculty and administrators who sign up for this service receive table of contents pages of journals they have selected as each new issue arrives in the Library. Library staff is also available to assist users in setting up RSS feeds, TOC alerts from publishers, and using My NCBI to receive alerts and updates on saved searches from PubMed.
