The curriculum for this 36-credit-hour program is mapped to provide students with a certificate in sports performance after the first 12 hours — all offered online — have been completed.  

With the exception of two on-campus immersion labs, offered in a single weekend to minimize travel or need for time away from work, the coursework can be completed online. The clinical experience location is flexible and individualized to meet the student’s interests and needs.

Admission Requirements for the M.S. in Exercise Physiology and Sports Performance 

To qualify for admission into the M.S. in Exercise Physiology and Sports Performance program, you must submit appropriate materials demonstrating completion – or be in the process of completing – the following:

  1. Formal application to the program along with the non-refundable application fee.
  2. Official transcripts showing ONE of the following:
    • An earned bachelor’s degree with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.00 scale that satisfies one of the following prerequisite options:
      • In exercise science or closely related field
      • In a related field which includes coursework in the following areas: anatomy, physiology, exercise physiology, nutrition, applied kinesiology/biomechanics
    • Successful completion of the first three trimesters of the CUKC Doctor of Chiropractic program with a minimum 3.0 earned cumulative GPA.
  3.  A professional statement addressing the reason for pursuing the program and your interests and goals.
