DOCTOR OF CHIROPRACTIC PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Doctor of Chiropractic Degree Applicants
The student must possess the following physical qualifications for admission and throughout the Doctor of Chiropractic degree program: (1) The coordination and ability to use both upper and lower extremities in the performance of common chiropractic procedures and techniques; (2) The manual dexterity to perform in all laboratory and clinical settings without posing a threat to himself/herself, or to the safety and well-being of fellow students or patients; (3) The necessary tactile sense as it relates to the diagnosis and treatment of patients; and (4) Visual and hearing senses, appropriately assisted if necessary, of sufficient acuity to identify histologic, cytologic, microbiologic and pathologic structures through a microscope; to record patient histories; to provide routine patient safety services; to perform stethoscopic and other auscultatory examinations; and to read all forms of diagnostic imaging. The final determination of an individual’s ability to meet these physical qualifications will be made by the University.

RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The Rad Tech program offered at Cleveland University-Kansas City leads to an Associate of Applied Science Degree (A.A.S.). Upon graduation, your degree meets the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) educational requirement for radiography. State licensure varies by state, so please contact the state you wish to practice in for state licensure requirements.
The Rad Tech program considers applicants who demonstrate exceptional academic and professional potential necessary to complete the program. Admission into this program is competitive; therefore all requirements must be met, and completion of general education courses does not guarantee admission into rad tech (RDTC) courses for a specific term. Interested individuals are advised to complete their application as early as possible to ensure timely consideration.
Upon acceptance to the Rad Tech program, you will be notified of additional entrance requirements prior to classes.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The OTA program offered at Cleveland University-Kansas City leads to an Associate in Applied Science Degree (A.A.S.) and helps to prepare the graduate to take the national certification examination administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) to become a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Graduates must meet additional requirements for state licensure.
Admission to the OTA Program is a separate procedure from admission to Cleveland University-Kansas City. Applicants must meet all admission criteria for Cleveland University-Kansas City before submitting an application to the OTA program. The OTA Program considers applicants who demonstrate exceptional academic and professional potential necessary to complete the program. Admission into this program is competitive; therefore all requirements must be met, and completion of prerequisite courses does not guarantee admission. Interested individuals are advised to complete their application as early as possible to ensure timely consideration. The OTA program application and all required documentation must be submitted no later than two months before the following semester cohort begins. Incomplete applications, and/or requirements, in addition to applications received after the application due date will NOT be accepted or considered.
Step 1 Apply to the Associate of Arts in Biological Sciences at Cleveland University-Kansas City online and submit the required application fee and official high school or college transcripts.
Step 2 Begin completing all 24 credit hours of prerequisite courses or demonstrate transfer of equivalent credits with a grade of “B” or better for science courses (*) and a minimum grade of “C” or better for remaining prerequisite courses.
Step 3 Submit online OTA program application, including signing relevant acknowledgment and disclosure forms no later than two months before the following semester cohort begins.

Full program acceptance is contingent upon completing the following: Submit a $200 non-refundable tuition deposit within 14 days (two weeks) following notification of contingent acceptance to the A.A.S. in Occupational Therapy Assistant program. This deposit will be credited to the first semester’s tuition.
