One of the jobs that I get to do as a campus ambassador at Cleveland University-Kansas City (CU-KC) is to help with our Discovery Day Open House event that we have once every trimester. We just held our summer open house and it was a big hit! As a campus ambassador, it is a wonderful opportunity to meet prospective students. We get to answer questions, tell stories from our own experiences, and help inform people about the wonderful career of chiropractic.
One of the things that is great about CU-KC is how we, as students, all try to help each other get through the program together. We, as a student body, are very close and some of those relationships start as early as open house. At almost every open house I have met people that have become students here that I still stay in contact with even though we don’t have any classes together. It is always nice to be able to give some advice and help out with a class that I have already been through. Students that came before me were always willing to lend a helping hand and it is great to be able to pass it on.
So, if you already know that you would like to come to CU-KC, I would still recommend coming to open house so that you have the opportunity to get to know as many people as possible. If you are still trying to decide if chiropractic and CU-KC are for you, then I would definitely recommend that you come to our next open house! You will have the chance to tour the school, attend a student Q&A panel, hear from alumni, and go through a mock adjusting class.
