There is free yoga in the park at Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, free country concerts every Thursday at Power and Light, recreational softball games, Royals baseball games, Sporting KC soccer matches and so much sun to soak in.
My trimester break was busy to say the least. In between bridal showers, baby showers, board scores and baseball games, I don’t think I could have fit anything else into my schedule. The best part of break was receiving board scores and the worst part was waiting for them. A week into break students were able to check board scores online and then letters were mailed out three days later. I have never been so excited to see six sets of numbers in my life. I passed boards and celebrated at a happy hour with other Cleveland students later that night. Once we received our official letters in the mail days later, we celebrated again by going to a Royals game. Although I didn’t trek more than a couple of miles from the KC area during break, I feel as if I traveled the entire time, that’s just how much KC has to offer.
Now that the summer trimester has kicked off, it’s time to buckle down. The summer tri is always the hardest because there is so much to do. There is free yoga in the park at Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, free country concerts every Thursday at Power and Light, recreational softball games, Royals baseball games, Sporting KC soccer matches and so much sun to soak in. If this trimester is anything like the previous two-week break, I’m in for a hectic couple of months. I guess it’s time to make the most of my time management skills.
