I had the privilege of being a part of Cleveland University-Kansas City’s campus ambassador program for two years. The program is set up with the admissions office to connect prospective students with current students. This provides an opportunity for the prospective student to get a feel for what a day in the life of a Clevelander is like.
The main part of my duties involves giving tours to students interested in our program. I show them around and answer questions as we go. I saw myself in some of those students and smiled. I was there once.
When I came to visit the campus and took a tour, I remember the campus ambassador who showed me around. I really appreciated his point of view and opinion about the program. It was one of the things that sold me on CUKC.
Providing that sort of a visit for prospective students was always my goal. I wanted them to see what’s so great about our institution. Yes, I received a scholarship for the work, but they don’t need to pay me to say certain things. I don’t have to lie or stretch the truth about Cleveland to make things sound or seem better than they are. I’m happy to be able to tell them exactly how it is because I always had so many great things to say about my experience. I’m proud to say I’m a Clevelander.
Becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) at CUKC
Cleveland University-Kansas City (CUKC) is a private, nonprofit university specializing in chiropractic and the health sciences. Our chiropractic history started in 1922, and today, more than one out of every 10 chiropractors in the United States have earned a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from our College of Chiropractic.
In addition to a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree you can complete in 3.3 years, some students choose a concurrent B.S./Chiropractic degree (D.C.) program that can reduce the amount of time in school by up to a year.
