Why did I choose 10 trimesters? Well, to be honest, I chose 10 trimesters at first and then decided I wanted to do 12 trimesters.
After about a week into classe, I finally realized that I was on the 10-trimester track so I decided to just stick with it. Smooth, I know.
After my 4th trimester, I was really glad I ended up doing the 10-trimester track. I did envy all of the 12-trimester students when they got done earlier or had nice breaks in between classes, but I feel like I would have wasted time when I could have been in class and on pace to graduate quicker.
Yes, the pace seemed much more difficult and faster, even though the 10-semester track was only an extra class or two. But when adding that class on top of 25+ credit hours already, it ends up bogging you down and makes study for all those extra tests just that much tougher. However, the feeling after accomplishing crunched up schedules in the 10-tri track is satisfactory.
When deciding to choose a 10-tri or 12-tri track in the College of Chiropractic, you need to decide what best fits your life schedule, social schedule, and study schedule. And even if you do decide to choose one track over the other, then realize it’s not really working for you, the CUKC Admissions and scheduling advisors are excellent at accommodating what’s best for you.
