Cleveland Chiropractic College-Kansas City will be the host for a “Walk ‘N’ Roll” event to benefit Camp MITIOG, Saturday, Sept. 18, at 11 a.m. Walkers and those opting to roll, will depart from the campus of Cleveland Chiropractic College at 10850 Lowell Avenue, Overland Park, Kan., on a one-mile loop past nearby parks, gardens and fountains. The participants will then return to the Cleveland campus for a “Family Fun Fair” featuring magic, music, face painting and other family activities. Registration begins at 10 a.m.
The event benefits Camp MITIOG, a special camp for children living with Spina Bifida. Held each year at Lake Doniphan in Excelsior Springs, Mo., the camp has been serving the special needs of these children for more than 40 years. Cleveland students help to support the camp by assisting the camp with different events each year.
Participants in the “Walk N’ Roll” choose to walk the one-mile loop, or roll it with bicycles, strollers, tricycles, skates, skate shoes, rollerblades, wheelchairs or any combination they want. Moreover, pets are welcome too! The suggested donation is $5 per child 18 and under, $10 per adult or $20 per family. The event will also feature information booths from sponsoring vendors.
