Shah Soleimani, a student at Cleveland-LA, was recently named to the American Chiropractic Association Sports Council (ACA-SC) Board of Directors. A member of the board through Jan. 2012, Soleimani’s primary duty will be to act as the communications contact between the national board and the ACA student liaisons from each chiropractic college. Additionally, he will also conduct business meetings at national events and coordinate national conference calls between those liaisons.
Soleimani is excited about what lies ahead for the council.
“It is a great honor to have been elected as the 2011 ACA Sports Council Student National Liaison by the many great doctors of the ACA-SC,” Soleimani said. “I look forward to working and networking with the great doctors of the ACA-SC and to help better all schools’ sports councils, especially ours here at Cleveland Chiropractic College.”
In addition to Soleimani, the student board of directors includes a vice chair and a secretary who will work to promote sports council throughout the year. The board will focus its energy on improving the sports councils currently active on chiropractic college campuses across the country, and attempt to start new councils on those campuses that currently do not have them. In addition to those goals, they will also conduct a symposium in Puerto Rico, July 29-31.
