Following an extensive search, Cleveland University-Kansas City (CUKC) announced that David Clute has been named the new Vice President of Finance for the institution. He began his duties in January 2022, following the retirement of Jeff Karp, who had held the position since 2010.
Clute comes to CUKC after serving nearly a decade as the Director of Finance and Administration for the University of Colorado Department of Family Medicine. His background includes positions in management consulting and information technology. He holds both a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
“Mr. Clute brings to the University an excellent complement of skills in finance, technology and management,” CUKC President, Dr. Carl S. Cleveland III, said. “We are pleased to have him join our administrative team and look forward to his strong leadership in the years to come.”
Clute will report directly to the president and will serve on the President’s Council. He has already begun to make an impact in his new post and looks forward to being part of the continued growth of the University.
