The main building on the Cleveland University-Kansas City (CUKC) campus is undergoing a massive reroofing project in 2022.
Key facts about the roofing project:
Jessica Ramirez, vice president of institutional advancement, has launched the “Raise the Roof” fundraising campaign. During this campaign, Ramirez is reaching out to individuals and community organizations for donations to the project. Funds raised will help offset reroofing costs and, most significantly, contribute to unlocking a generous capital grant. Ramirez said the grant could match each dollar raised by more than two to one.
“At CUKC, we’re intentional about how students use and experience the campus,” Ramirez said. “So much happens under one roof. Students get hands-on learning and discover their sense of belonging as they become doctors of chiropractic and healthcare professionals.”
According to Ramirez, “With community support, we can fully cover the project’s expenses, which in turn allows the University to pursue more ways to support students on their journey to make a lasting impact in the lives and wellbeing of others.”
As part of the “Raise the Roof” campaign, donors investing $100 or more are invited to sign a roof panel. Those investing $2,500 or more are also invited to attend the spring celebration at a popular Kansas City rooftop restaurant.
