Although the seal was broken a couple months ago on the newly renovated auditorium at the Los Angeles campus of Cleveland Chiropractic College, time was set aside by college administrators for an official dedication ceremony May 26. Work on the renovation project, funded by a $500,000 gift by Standard Process Inc., was completed in February.
The facelift for the new Standard Process Auditorium included the installation of new carpet, flooring, windows, lighting and A/V equipment, as well as the construction of a more defined staging area and the purchase of new chairs.
Dr. Carl S. Cleveland III opened the dedication ceremony with a welcome to all distinguished guests, and provided an overview of the aforementioned project. Dr. James Powell, Standard Process special projects consultant, gave a presentation of the Standard Process nutritional program he has developed.
Four College representatives spoke leading up to an address by Charlie DuBois, Standard Process president. They were Student Council President Mo Estepa, Faculty Council President Dr. Michael Valentine and Board of Trustees Vice Chairman Dr. Ernst Anrig ’69 and Trustee Emeritus Dr. Gloria Lee Ford ’72. Capping off the event was a ribbon-cutting.
A luncheon followed allowing attendees to converse with dignitaries, which also included Dr. Ashley Cleveland, provost, and Dr. Mary Beth Larsen, Standard Process chiropractic relations manager.
