Amy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in occupational therapy from the University of Kansas. Her primary clinical experience has been in home health working with both children and adults in Kansas and Missouri. Her background also includes administration and program development. Owens has presented both at the state and national level regarding Early Intervention and Coaching Families. She has experience with student fieldwork supervision, and is excited to help train future students in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program at Cleveland University-Kansas City. Owens has two sons, one in college and one in high school. She and her husband enjoy camping, boating and watching KU basketball.
