Dr. Larson serves as Chair/Assistant Professor of Kinesiology at Avila University, and Director of the Human Performance Lab. He is an educator and clinical practitioner with more than 20 years of experience working with athletes and active adults to achieve pain-free motion and peak physical performance. Larson earned his Ph.D. in exercise physiology from the University of Kansas in 2001, and completed a post-doctoral experience in a neurophysiology lab at the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2003. He has also earned, and maintains through continuing education, several specialty certifications including Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA), Club Coach (USAW) and Advanced Myoskeletal Alignment Practitioner (Freedom from Pain Institute).
