As a chiropractic student, I am required to take a myriad of classes to meet board standards. Some, of course, are more interesting than others. Here is a short list of my favorite courses I’ve taken at Cleveland:
1. Technique III
We get to start palpating our first week in class in Tech I, but Tech III is when we start adjusting. The green light was given and it was great to learn how to properly adjust the thoracics and lumbars. Also, the instructor for the class is one of my favorite instructors on campus.
2. Neuromusculoskeletal and Genitourinary Diagnosis
I know, this sounds really technical and boring, but I loved the instructor. He made the subject matter fun at times.
3. Chiropractic Functional Assessment
I enjoyed learning how to properly assess a patient in how they move or how well they can resist a certain motion. I plan to use these ideas in practice. There is also a great instructor in this course.
4. Clinic Internship I
This is the class where you get to transition to the outpatient clinic and start seeing patients from the public. I really enjoy interacting with my patients and I look forward to their appointments each day.
