Maintaining a New Year’s resolution is a struggle for everyone at the beginning of the year. The big thing is finding a goal that is manageable! Mine this year was to drink less energy drinks. I’ve found that I crave the flavor more than the caffeine, so what I’ve started doing is buying bulk-flavored water to carry around and drink instead. If you find yourself struggling to stick to a New Year’s resolution ask someone close to you to help hold you accountable; just having an accountability partner will help your success rate dramatically! Current favorite healthy recipe: quinoa, chicken sausage, black beans, sweet potatoes, carrots, onions, some hard shredded cheese on top, and spices. Cook the quinoa and beans like usual and then grill up the sausage. I dice up the veggies and then cook them in a pan with some healthy oils and seasoning in with it. After everything is cooked, I sprinkle some shredded cheese on top and mix them all together and bon appétit! I usually make about five meals worth at a time and throw the rest in some Tupperware!
