The National Scholarship Providers Association (NSPA) reports that in the past decade, an estimated $100 million in scholarship money goes unawarded each year, mostly due to a lack of applicants. Jessica Ramirez, CUKC vice president of advancement, is working to make sure as many CUKC students as possible have the opportunity for available CUKC scholarship funds.
“CUKC has made a commitment to fund $100,000 in scholarships for next year,” Ramirez said. “There are opportunities for students in our College of Chiropractic and in our College of Health Sciences. I believe every CUKC student should take a look and see what might fit,” Ramirez said.
Students can review a list of scholarships and qualifications on the Scholarships and Memorials web page.
“There’s still time to get those applications submitted,” she said, “but the cutoff date for applying is Oct. 15, 2022.”
The website link for entering applications is https://bit.ly/3R4PNjz.
Recipients will be notified individually, and all students receiving awards will be recognized at the Cleveland College Foundation Awards Banquet on Friday, Dec. 2, in the CUKC Dining and Assembly Hall. Awardees are required to attend.
