When people think of school, they oftentimes think of a building with classrooms, lectures, and labs. There is a lot more than that happening on the Cleveland University-Kansas City campus. My favorite non-academic things to do on campus are:
1. Eat at Café Cleveland – Our cafeteria is amazing because we have a wonderful staff, great tasting entrées, affordable snacks and meals, and a large dining hall with nearly floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides.
2. Attend Club Meetings – Cleveland has 24 student clubs that include adjusting clubs, legislative clubs, social clubs, sports clubs and more. I am most involved with Student Council and Student American Chiropractic Association, but I pop into other clubs every now and then to soak in something new. Being involved with clubs enhances my experience at Cleveland by increasing learning opportunities and getting to meet other classmates.
3. Attend Student Council & Student Services Events – Student Council and Student Services each hold different events on campus throughout the year such as a ChiroGames send off with fun competitions, Founders Day, an Independence Day BBQ and a day of “Comfort & Joy” near the end of the year.
4. Enjoy the Fresh Air & Socializing on the South Courtyard – The courtyard is a popular spot for students to hang out between classes or during lunch. It’s always fun saying “hi “and chatting with friends there.
