A message from Dr. Carl S. Cleveland III, president
The CUKC leadership is reaching out to Student Council, the Student American Black Chiropractors Association (SABCA) and the campus Diversity Committee, in preparation to host the first of a set of small group Town Hall meetings. These are beginning next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, June 16, 17, and 18, in Zoom meeting format at 1:30 p.m. and at 6 p.m. Central Time.
This is a time to show our support for black lives everywhere and to recognize the contributions of black Americans in our history, culture, in our communities, and in healthcare. This is our opportunity to listen with intention, honor and value the ideas and viewpoints of others, and find new ways to encourage agreement, knowing that each person brings a different background and perspective to each life situation.
Please join and be part of the conversation. See your Cleveland University-Kansas City email for instructions on how to sign up.

Towards Solidarity and Healing
A message from Dr. Carl S. Cleveland III, president
As Clevelanders, we must recognize the racism, inequality, and injustice. We must stand united against those that seek to divide us.
Like you, throughout this week, I watched the protests in the tradition and spirit of Dr. King, and I thought…what can we do?
It is our responsibility that CUKC remains a welcoming, caring, safe, and inclusive place for all to learn and work. This is a time to show our support for black lives everywhere and to recognize the contributions of black Americans in our history, culture, in our communities, and healthcare.
But we understand that this is not enough.
We must be a part of the solution by coming together to listen, exchange ideas, and learn firsthand from the experiences of our black students and employees from within our CUKC campus community.
University administration is working with our SABCA chapter and student council to schedule a CUKC community townhall soon. Invitations will be sent via email. Please plan to join us.
Black lives matter.
We believe we can do better. And we look forward to doing so together.
