As most people know, winter in the Midwest can be excruciatingly cold. So, what in the world should the chiropractic students of CUKC look forward to besides the holidays? Listed below are some various things that happen in Kansas City that may keep you entertained during the brisk days of winter.
Kansas City Chiefs – If you can find a way to make it to Arrowhead Stadium for a Chiefs game, you won’t be disappointed. Yeah, it’s going to be cold.
Plaza Lights – So, where are all the Christmas lights? Easy answer, the Plaza. A top-notch place to experience great food and atmosphere would be a night on the Plaza. Not only does the Plaza have a jolly feel, but they also have horse and carriage rides throughout the area. Fellas, this is a must if you’re looking to impress a lady. You’re welcome, ladies.
New Theatre Restaurant – This place is an overlooked gem. Not only has it been renovated, but it has much more to offer than the eye can see. In a nutshell, New Theatre Restaurant is a dinner and a show. They offer a 5-star, all you can eat buffet and a live stage play to follow. Each show also has a guest star that made their name on hit TV shows and movies. This place is located in Overland Park right off of Metcalf Ave.
Crown Center – Just south of downtown KC is Crown Center. They have tons of things to offer from food to shopping. However, during the winter, they offer ice skating. It is not a well-known activity in the area of Kansas City, but certainly something worth trying out. And next to the rink is Kansas City’s tallest Christmas tree!
Stay warm Kansas City!
